Primary: The Day AfterFirst Things First A great big thank-you
for all the votes and support. I sincerely thank every person that was part of the campaign from beginning to end.
There were so many people that worked so hard for what they believed. This was a truly inspiring experience. A
grassroots campaign with limited finances garnered a large amount of support and that is something to be proud of. We
fell about 4,000 votes short of a win.
While we may have lost the primary election, we have not lost the momentum and conviction
to continue the fight for what is 'right'. The Common Sense
and Core Values that were the basis of our platform is something we will
carry forward into the future. We must all keep up the fight and continue to inspire other citizens to get involved
and be a part of the process.
We will continue the fight and continue to be involved in several ways to ensure that
our beliefs have a voice! I truly considered all of us a team that must continue to work together to protect the constitution,
protect our principles, and ensure the American dream for future generations. Future I have been asked over and over if we will be running again
in 2012. I have been urged by many to seriously consider this as round one and prepare for the next round.
It is much too early for my
family to consider this scenario only one day after the primary. We have not made any formal decisions and we will seek
advice and support in the future around this topic.
The immediate focus will be on doing what we can
during the general election to ensure that all general election candidates respect and support the issues around our
'Common Sense' and 'Core Values' platform.
Tom White's
Campaign Comments Tom White's campaign released a statement immediately after the primary. White’s campaign manager,
Ian Russell tells Nebraska Watchdog the Sakalosky
voters are “free agents” who are frustrated with politics as usual. More importantly Russell says that big 37%
wasn’t a vote for Sakalosky but “a vote against Terry.”
Nebraska Watchdog Article with Ian's Comments
I feel this is an
insult to me, our campaign, all of our volunteers that worked so hard, and every voter that cast a vote for me. I feel
that Ian Russell owes me and all my supporters an apology with this comment. He has completely dismissed anything we
stood for, worked for, and earned. This is the type of arrogant thinking that citizens are tired of.
I would put the link to Tom
White's campaign email here, however, after checking his website we could not find one. The best we can do
is call his office and ask for an apology. In addition, please feel free to email the press and let them know your thoughts
as a supporter regarding these comments.
Tom White's Campaign Phone Number: (402) 578-5723 Future Newsletters As promised, we will be
staying very involved and we have decided to continue our newsletter and website blog. Our expectation is to publish
a newsletter about once a month and break down the biggest issues facing our country. We will also continue the blog
as a more frequent way to continue the discussion and plan to add a discussion board.
But I ask that
we all stay involved at some level and continue to inspire others to stand up, pay attention, and become active!
Thank you all for your
support!
God Bless, Matt Sakalosky

8 Hours to Go!Polls Open Today! Out working the polling places this morning and getting a
great response. We are headed out to 168th and Center for a sign wave at 1pm...feel free to come and join us.
The turnout looks to be fairly low in the first 4 hours, so make sure to get everyone out to vote! 8 hrs to go. Feel free to pick-up one of
our signs and wave to people after you vote. You just need to be 200ft from the polling entrace. Most of the polling
stations have little yellow cards at the point where you can stand. If there is no sign, shoot us a message and we'll
get you a sign. Good Response at the Polls! We have received an excellent
response so far at the polls. So many people have stopped to say thank-you to our campaign workers and myself.
More than half have given a thumbs up or a honk as they drive by. Great response, so keep it up for 8 more hours!!!

18 Hours Until Polls Open18 Hours until the polls close. I went on the Channel Six midday
show live today and what a very nice crew. You can see the replay on Cox Channel 4. We will also be
on Fox 42 later this evening. There is great momentum and we are very optimistic. Keep networking and get out
the vote, we are almost there!

This Race is Close!"Get the Vote Out-This Race is Close" There are only 24 hours
left until the Primary. With an expected low voter turnout, please be sure to contact all your friends and family today
and get them to the polls tomorrow. Every vote is going to be critical...now is the time we need your help! This race is very close and
we have an opportunity to 'Send Washington the Message' that you have 'Had
Enough' of what is going on in D.C., especially with the spending and debt. Our expectation is a
result that may be too close to call. Today, you can make the difference and help with the voter turnout for
a win tomorrow! The 'Lee Terry' Mailer This
weekend, Lee Terry mailed a postcard to voters speaking about how he wants to cut spending and reduce debt. Let's
remember the amount spending he voted for in his career and the willingness to have government intervene in the private
markets: - Voted for the TARP, Bank/Auto Bailouts
- Voted for Cash for Clunkers
- Voted
for record spending throughout Bush years
These are the top three but it doesn't end there. These were the wrong votes
that has increased spending and has substantially increased the debt of our nation. It's time to say 'No' to this record and let the established career politicians know that you
have 'Had Enough'! Election Night Party You are invited to stop by and join us for an 'Election Night Party'. Our campaign will be at the
German American Society lower hall after 7pm. Thanks to everyone that has assisted our campaign over the last year and we hope you
will come out and celebrate on election night!
